Cappies is a nationwide collaborative program for theatre and journalism students where student critics review, judge, and publish, with the help of teacher mentors, high school productions. Awards are presented through the Cappies Gala at the Broward Center.

Drug Free Youth In Town Club requires members to adopt a no-use drug (including alcohol) policy and submit themselves to random drug screening. Members perform community service projects, participate in rallies, and attend seminars and workshops.
