College Fly-In Programs

Visiting college campuses is one of the most important steps in deciding if a particular college is right for you.  Many colleges offer weekend programs where students can spend 1-2 nights on campus.  Some colleges offer travel assistance for students who demonstrate financial need.  Since not every college offers fly-in programs, check the website of the college that you are interested in visiting and review their admission requirements.   The list below are some colleges that offer fly-in programs:

Amherst College – Diversity Open House weekend.
Eligibility:  High school students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Babson College – Multicultural Overnight Experience.
Eligibility:  High school students.

Barnard College
Eligibility:  High school students who identify as students of color.

Bates College
Eligibility:  First generation to college students and/or students from diverse backgrounds.

Brandeis University – Students Exploring and Embracing Diversity
Eligibility:  Underrepresented students, including first-generation, low-income, and minority students.

Bowdoin College – Explore Bowdoin
Eligibility:  High school students who demonstrate financial need.

Bryn Mawr College
Eligibility:  High school junior or seniors

Bucknell University:  Journey to Bucknell
Eligibility:  High school students enrolled in an academically rigorous program of study with a minimum unweighted grade point average of 3.3 and must have taken the ACT or SAT.

Carleton College
Eligibility:  High school seniors.

Colby College
Eligibility:  High school seniors.

Colorado College
Eligibility:  High school seniors that either self-identify as a student of color, are Pell eligible, and/or are first generation students.

Columbia University
Eligibility:  High school seniors from backgrounds that are historically underrepresented in engineering and applied science fields.

Connecticut College
Eligibility:  High school seniors.

Dartmouth College – Summer Bound Program
Eligibility:  Participants must have a teacher or mentor recommend them for this program.

Davidson College

Dickinson College - Discover Diversity at Dickinson
Eligibility:  High school students who identify as students of color and/or are first generation college students.

Emory University – EmoryCultural Overnight Recruitment Experience (CORE)
Eligibility: talented achieving high school seniors from underrepresented backgrounds.

Franklin and Marshall – Collegiate Leadership Summit
Eligibility: Applicants must have a 3.3 GPA, come from an underrepresented background, and demonstrate leadership in their school or community.

George Washington University – Your “GW” Open House Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion.
Eligibility:  High school seniors.

Grinnell College – Grinnell College Diversity Preview Program
Eligibility:  High school seniors that are students of color, and are interested in liberal arts education.

Hamilton College – Diversity Overnight Program
Eligibility:  Underrepresented high school students with limited financial resources.

Harvey Mudd College – Fall Future Achievers in Science and Technology (FAST)
Eligibility:  High school seniors.

Haverford College -  Multicultural Scholars Experience
