University School provides parents with the opportunity to have an active role in the University School community through various organizations. Working closely with University School administration, and guided by the school mission, University School volunteer associations enrich the academic and social needs of the school while acting as a major vehicle of communication.
University Family Organization (UFO)
The University Family Organization is composed of parents and guardians of students currently enrolled in University School of Nova Southeastern University. In cooperation with faculty and administration, the UFO provides support and services to University School, and its students and their families by facilitating school events, providing volunteers, fundraising, and sharing information between parents, faculty, and administration.
All parents of University School students are automatically members of the UFO, however leadership and volunteer positions are also available. Meetings are held at 8:30 AM on the second Tuesday of every month in the Lifelong Learning Institute of NSU (University Park Plaza off University Drive – North Corner). If you have any questions please contact current president, Evan Ellman.
Families for the Arts (FFTA)
Families for the Arts (FFTA) is a volunteer parent organization open to all University School parents. The mission of FFTA is to support, promote, and continuously improve the visual and performing arts programs at University School.
Meetings are held at 8:30 AM on the third Wednesday of each month in the Epstein Center for the Arts. For more information, please contact current president, Nancy Gordon.
