As a division of Nova Southeastern University, University School is the only independent school in South Florida that is part of a major university. This relationship provides our students with a host of unique resources and opportunities. NSU faculty judge the Lower School science fair. Middle School students prepare for mock trial competitions with help from NSU's Shepard Broad Law Center. Our student performances are held in NSU's state-of-the-art, 500-seat theater in their $43 million Library, Research, and Information Technology Center.

University School seniors have the unique opportunity to conduct research with NSU professors as part of the Senior Capstone Project. These projects range from studying marketing techniques with the chair of the Marketing Department at NSU's Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship to collecting tissue samples for professors from the College of Dental Medicine.

University School students also benefit from the NSU connection through their teachers. In addition to teaching other teachers as faculty members in NSU's Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services, University School teachers are able to pursue advanced degrees. As a result, University School has a high percentage of faculty with doctorate degrees.
