BCCTM
BCCTM is a math competition that middle school participates in. Every year a team of four students from each grade level/ math course competes in the Broward County Council of Teachers of Mathematics county math competition held one Saturday morning in March or April. Previous to the day of competition, the students compete for spots on the teams and practice together to solve very challenging math problems they will face at the math meet.

Forensics
Students prepare either a speech or debate event for after school competitions that are held each month at University School. Forensics prepares students to become confident speakers and to feel comfortable speaking and performing in front of an audience. The Forensics Team meets on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30pm in the Forensics Suite in the Upper School.

ICare-ICure
The I Care-I Cure Service Club was founded in the spring of 2007 with the mission of providing students an opportunity for direct, hands-on-service in the community. The goal is to teach students the value of giving at an early age so that it becomes a life-long habit. Money raised from fundraising, a secondary goal of the club, goes to the I Care-I Cure Foundation which funds research for targeted cures in pediatric oncology.

Junior Thespians
Junior Thespians work on acting, musical, and technical skills to prepare for district and state tournaments.

Law Club
The Middle School Law Club is for students interested in our legal system who would like to participate in a mock trial competition. Members of the club meet after school once a week with a student from the NSU Shepard Broad Law Center. Each semester a new case is given to the club members. Roles are assigned to each member and each gets an opportunity to practice arguing the case during a mock trial at the Broward County Courthouse.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
Students are eligible to become members at the end of 7th grade and in the 8th grade based on meeting the club requirements. These include scholarship (a 93% GPA), service, leadership, and citizenship activities.

Student Government
The Middle School Government is an organization that allows Middle School Students to become active in the school community. This group of students is responsible for organizing school dances, supporting charity events such as Love Jen, as well as helping with other fund raising drives. The members of student government are also responsible for being the voice of the Middle School.
