• Classroom Guidance Sessions — thematic lessons that are presented to small groups and integrated as part of the curriculum.

  • Consultation and Collaboration — response to faculty, professionals, and parental requests for assistance in dealing with special needs or concerns that develop with individual students; member of Child Study Team.

  • Individual, short term counseling — provides intervention to students on a on-to-one basis, as needs arise; also includes crisis intervention.

  • Group Counseling — includes students with similar needs or issues, who meet with the counselor for a predetermined amount of time on a scheduled basis.

  • Coordination of Community Service projects – Community Service is infused as part of our on-going Character Education Development plan. Throughout the year, the Lower School participates in many charitable projects. These events foster a sense of community, compassion, and empathy for others. Each grade level chooses a particular organization to support. Other projects are seasonal and sponsored by our K-Kids or Kids in Distress organizations.

  • Drop-in — students "drop-in" and request a visit or leave a message, if they wish to discuss an issue or share a concern in order to develop strategies for solving thier own problems with social issues or academics.
