Meet the Staff

Dr. Rhoda Levine earned her Bachelor’s degree from Boston University, her Master’s degree from Northwestern University, and her Doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University. Her areas of study have all been in communication sciences and disorders. As well as a LRA team member, Dr. Levine is a valued member of the resource team. Her present position as Coordinator of Research and Development helps facilitate collaborative research endeavors. Dr. Levine is also presently an adjunct professor in the master’s program in communication sciences and disorders at Nova Southeastern University, and supervises Master Speech and Language students as they fulfill their clinical experiences in the Lower School. |

Mrs. Soni Krasky is a talented and enthusiastic Special Educator who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Special Education, both earned at the University of Florida. She has taught in Broward County and has expert level training in a number of different reading and math programs. Mrs. Krasky’s expertise is in working with children with learning difficulties, and she has brought a wealth of knowledge, experience, and warmth to the classroom. |

Mrs. Penny Scheffing has been teaching for over twenty years. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from George Washington University and a Master’s Degree in Language Arts and Reading from Florida International University. Some of her other experiences include curriculum facilitator, resource teaching, and instructor of children with special needs. She was on the First Grade team for three years and has moved to LRA level this school year. She recently received a Pie Grant Award entitled “Writers”. In addition to her responsibilities as a classroom teacher, this will be her fifth year as Girl Scout Leader for University School Troop 116. |

Mrs. Lisa Chancey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of South Florida and a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning with a specialty in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to working at University School, Lisa taught in Broward County at both Sunrise and Ramblewood Middle Schools. |
