"Suns Fall to North Broward "
North Broward Prep narrowly edged University School 3-2 in a 3A regional quarterfinal on Thursday night. A first-half goal from Felipe Noguerol and strikes from Xavier Silva and Bryan Lima in the first 11 minutes of the second half gave the Eagles a 3-0 lead, despite the fact that the Suns (15-6) had dominated most of the possession to that point. University finally tallied at the 63-minute mark when sophomore Jeremy Katz played a great give and go with Connor Rezende before finishing well. Katz didn't finish so well a minute later when he hit the post on a penalty that would turn out to be the pivotal point of the match. Alex Ciklic had a chance to slot the rebound home but his effort went wide. Rezende made it 3-2 with two minutes remaining when he caught Eagles goalkeeper Caleb Loud off his line from about 28 yards out, but it was too little, too late. The Suns fought a tough battle but finished yet another fantastic season with 14 wins and six losses. Congratulations!
