“Suns Down Sabres on Senior Night”
Wednesday was Senior Night at Ian Besner Field as the Suns defeated St. Brendan 4-2. Seniors Blake Feldman, David Simon, Michael Weiss, Scott Siff, Andrew Bromely, Mitch Blendin, Alex Parker, Jordan Skidmore, Neil Brodie, and Bradley Jacobs were all honored for their commitment to University School Baseball prior to the game.
The Suns received yet another solid pitching collaboration from senior David Simon, sophomore Brandon Bromley, and senior David Grosby. Simon started the game and Grosby finished out the game in relief of Bromley in the seventh inning.
The Suns were led offensively by seniors Blake Feldman and Jordan Skidmore. In their final regular season game as Suns, Feldman went 2-3 with two runs scored & two stolen bases, and Skidmore collected two hits and three RBI’s.
The Suns finished the regular season with a 15-5-1 record and enter the District Tournament as the #2 seed. The Suns also earned a first round BYE and will play Tuesday versus the winner of the Chaminade-Madonna/Somerset Academy game. Tuesday afternoon’s first pitch will be at 4:00 P.M. at Broward Community College.
