Requirements for Participation
In order for a NSU University School student to be eligible to compete in one of the numerous athletic programs available on our campus, they must meet the minimum academic requirements stated below.
An incoming ninth grade student must have been regularly promoted from the eighth grade according to the school's pupil-progressing plan. An incoming 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student must have passed all subjects, five on first impulse, and must have maintained a 2.0 (73%) grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the spring semester of the previous year.
A student must maintain a 2.0 (73%) grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the fall semester to be eligible in the spring.
It is imperative and mandated by the FHSAA (Florida High School Athletic Association) that any student who participates in try-outs, practices, pre-season trainings, and games for any sport complete all required FHSAA participation forms.

- On the last page of this pdf document, please make sure the physician places a check mark on the line labeled "Cleared without limitation" (unless child is not cleared), and signs and dates the form.
- The physical evaluation form is valid for 365 calendar days from the date the physician signs it. Therefore, we strongly encourage all physicals to be done after May 15th of the current school year.
