Season Update
The Boys Middle School Basketball Team went 4-0 for the second week of the season, which makes their record 6-2. The Suns defeated Westlake Prep 46-19 with Aaron Johnson leading the team with 10 points followed by Aaron Churba with 8 points. Next, the Suns defeated Zion Lutheran 36-33 avenging their loss from last week. Andrew Moya had 13 points while also hitting the game winning 3-point shot with .9 second left on the clock to give the Suns the lead. Aaron Johnson chipped in 11 points while Jordan Cunningham’s defense was also a key part of the Suns victory; especially the steal that help set up Moya’s heroics. The Suns defeated Somerset 42-17 for their fifth win of the season. Spencer Shelton led the suns with 10 points and Andrew Moya had 8 points. In the final game of the week, the Suns defeated Weston Christian 41-8. Jordan Cunningham led the Suns in scoring with 11 points and Laurenz Reyes had 7 points.
