Jason McDannold

Coach Jason McDannold came to Florida five years ago to accept a position with the City of Fort Lauderdale Parks & Recreation Department. He was born and raised in Versailles, Kentucky were he was Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation for 16 years. Currently Coach McDannold works for the City of Fort Lauderdale as the Park Manager at Mills Pond Park; he also is responsible for the athletic permitting of 64 parks and 122 athletic fields.

Coach McDannold joins our program with 13 years of volleyball coaching experience. He has coached at all levels including college, high school, middle school and club. While in Kentucky, Coach McDannold started his coaching career in 1990 at Woodford County High School as the assistant. He went on to be the Head Volleyball Coach Henry Clay High School for 2 years before taking over Paul Lawrence Dunbar Volleyball's program. As the Head Coach at Dunbar, Coach McDannold won 2 City Championships, 4 District Championships and 2 Regional Championships with an overall record of 164-48.

After five seasons with Dunbar, he was offered the head coaching position at Midway College. During his tenure at Midway College, he took the program to the school's first Regional Tournament and a 22-16. After moving to Florida, Jason coached one season at Miami Country Day where he had a winning season. Jason believes that success comes from hard work and dedication.
