Roger Harriott

Roger Harriott, who is originally from Jamaica, came to South Florida at an early age. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where he earned scholar-athlete status. Coach Harriott received an athletic scholarship from Boston University in 1995 – where he was later awarded first team All Atlantic 10 conference football honors as a running back in 1997. After BU dropped their football program, Coach Harriott transferred to Villanova University, where he was awarded pre-season USA Today and ESPN All American honors as a running back in 1998.

Today, Roger Harriott is a dedicated Athletic Director and Head Football Coach of University School. He utilizes his focus on his family to challenge our athletes to become productive citizens and all around good people. He also challenges our coaches to be mentors and educators, in addition to coaching, in order to meet all expectations. Coach Harriott is passionate about positively impacting children to pursue all their dreams, goals, and aspirations in life. In the past year, Coach Harriott and his staff have successfully established a system that consists of safety, respect, responsibility, discipline, and commitment. As a result, our Suns recorded an outstanding 8-1 inaugural season in 2006. Coach Harriott is excited about taking on a new endeavor, as the team enters FHSAA district play in class 2B. He describes this group as “committed to the task at hand and ready to represent University School with strength, respect, truth, and honor.” Please be sure to visit our online football schedule and cheer on our Suns as we take on the 2007 football season.
