    • Academy of the Arts - We are excited to announce the Academy of the Arts at NSU University School! Academy of the Arts provides after school performing and visual arts education for students and adults.  Private music lessons are offered in voice, piano, strings, and other instruments. Group lessons are offered in dance, digital photography and drawing/painting. The instructors for each of these disciplines are either full-time faculty members or professional adjunct instructors recommended by the Fine Arts Department.     • Click here to register for the Band and Strings Universal Music Workshop Trip. The trip includes a Music Workshop at Universal, a two day pass to Universal and Islands of Adventure, one night stay at Cabana Bay Beach Resort and transportation.     • Exciting news in Lower School Music! Violin classes are now offered for 3rd-5th graders. Band is offered to 4th- and 5th-graders. Violin meets during Music Class by color group. Please email Anna Baumgaertner for more info and put your child's name, grade and color group in the Subject line. Band will meet on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:45 a.m.-8:25 a.m. in the Epstein Center. Please email Brandon Nix for more info.
    • Middle School band is open to all MS students regardless of experience. Our band teacher Brandon Nix met with the entire Middle School during PE class to showcase various instruments. If your child is interested in joining band, we will do everything we can to work this into his or her schedule! Please email Stefanie Gillman and  Brandon Nix.

  • The Upper School Concert Band received a Superior rating at the Florida Bandmaster's Association District Concert Music Performance Assessment.
  • Eleven Upper School band members received Superior ratings in the Florida Bandmaster's Association District Solo and Ensemble Assessments.
  • Middle and Upper School orchestral strings students earned 16 Superior rankings at district assessments.
