The lower school fine arts program introduces students to the elements and principles of design.  Students have the opportunity to explore the various techniques of painting, drawing, composition, pottery, printmaking, weaving and mixed media.  Students learn about famous artists and integrate their techniques and ideas to create their own unique works of art. To display the exceptional talent we have at University School, there is a Lower School art show in May that includes art work from each and every student. 

For those children that wish to continue their creativity after school hours, our cultural arts program is available to interested students who want to learn about advanced printmaking, painting and drawing using watercolor, painting with acrylics, art for young artists, pottery making, and much, much more.
