Technology & Digital Resources
Technology and digital resources are an important part of NSU University School curriculum in the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. Our students use Blackboard (a Learning Management System) and access Digital Curriculum materials, offering anywhere, anytime access to course content, homework, supplemental resources and more.
We consider technology to be a significant educational tool and an important aspect of daily course work. Lower School students are provided devices to use while at school including iPads, SmartBoards, Smart Tables, and more. This year, students in grades 4 and 5 can bring in their own device, if they choose. Students in grades 6-12 are required to bring in their own device. Although we recommend a laptop, students can utilize laptops or tablets, whichever device is more comfortable for them.
- Laptops (PC, Google Chromebook or Mac). All laptops must have Safari or Firefox (free download) for a web browser.
- Tablets should have a flash capable browser (for example, Puffin $2.99 app)
